Sorry

I’m not going to be able to put anything together today.

I know I kind of already have the topic picked, but I’m just not able to get anything done with it. I’m already dozing off while sitting around this evening.

I have a bit of a cold, but I really didn’t think it was bad. After eating dinner and then dozing afterwards, I think I might have been mistaken.

Sorry again, I’ll be sure to keep this in mind for tomorrow.

I warned you

Here it is. My arbitrary milestones post that I warned you about. If these kind of posts aren’t your thing, run now. RUN AWAY!!!!

Anywhoozle, This is my 200th post . I’ve had this blog since September of 2011, but I’ve only been really truly posting consistently since April of 2013. I had big months before, but these lest 6 and  a half have been my real push.

I know I go through stretches(like now) where the posts aren’t always deep. They can seem pointless or rushed. I don’t get to write when I Want, I have to write when I have time. I have still managed to stick with it most days. I haven’t really missed many weekdays writing. It feels good.

It feels good to have stuck with it. It feels good to be committed to writing something everyday. It feels good interacting with all of you that stop by. I think that’s a large part of why I want to write everyday instead of 2 or 3 times per week. Writing here is like having a conversation with lots of people all at once. I like to be involved in that conversation.

I love writing my way through this life. I love having this conversation. It’s been a great thing for me personally. I can’t thank all of you who have stopped by or who continue to stop by, enough.

As I said, This is post number 200. I’ve got a modest following of 38 people here, 30 on tumblr that link to here, and anybody that follows me on Facebook or Twitter can see the post links. This is my little corner of the universe. I’m glad that any of you decided to stop by and more glad that some of you continue to do so.

If you feel like you want to, it’d be cool if you let anyone who you think might enjoy it here to stop by too. If not, that’s cool. I don’t mind. I’m a weird dude and that’s not for everybody.

Thank you again. I never thought I’d be able to stick with this or anything as long as I have and I look forward to seeing where it goes from here.

Just over there…

I found out about a new-ish site today called Medium. I was introduced to it through Janelle. I signed up so that I could recommend her post, and I got an invite to write as well as read. I decided to go for it and be adventurous. Maybe get some writing in front of some new eyes.

It’s right over here:  https://medium.com/this-happened-to-me/393363655f54

It would be great if you wouldn’t mind taking a look there. Don’t feel obligated to sign up or anything, but I wouldn’t be upset about any recommendations over there. It’s kind of like one big blog with multiple writers and categories. No comments, but you can recommend or share.

Feel free to recommend there, or talk about it here on this post.

Thanks!

Update

I didn’t do it, I swear.

By that I mean that I didn’t stop posting altogether just because October is over. I didn’t sit back and rest on my laurels as if to say ‘Check that out! Look what I did last month!’

I know if I did that you would all think less of me. Likely because if I was satisfied by posting every day for a month, I don’t deserve to have readers.

I did not have anything pressing to share yesterday, but I can share a little morsel today. No more than a morsel though, I’ve read ‘If You Give A Mouse A Cookie’ and you’re all human and hence larger than mice.

I’m working on something different, and larger than before. I can’t tell you what it is exactly, but that’s mostly because I’m not 100% sure myself. What I do know is this: it’s going to be like a story, fiction, and I will post it here.

If it works out that I can do it in small, bite-sized chunks, I’ll share that way and not make you wait just to read a wall of text.

That’s all for now!
